What Can I Do?

If you would like to help promote balance in education, there are a number of things you can do. For example:

• Spread the word by e-mail. You are welcome to forward any essay on this Web site to those in your community who should be made aware. All we ask is that you credit our Web site for the material and treat it with the respect it deserves.
• Lobby your local school board for change. Loud protests outside a board member's home with banners about "A child hater lives here" are particularly effective, as are the photos of you in jail for trying to speak your mind.
• See if you can get yourself elected to the school board. It's easier than you might think, and you can avoid a lot of hard questions by not discussing your motivation until you are in office.
• Get the community talking! How about having a public debate on a controversial topic? In our experience, people representing the other side often don't even show up, giving you full reign to quote their publications in any way you see convenient while whipping your audience into a frenzy.
• Sue the school. One of the best ways to change a school is to show them that if they do not see the wisdom of your ways you will be forced to extract enormous amounts of money from them in a civil suit.
• Teach your kids not to put up with being taught nothing but the "party line." When they hear a one-sided "fact" in class (e.g., "George Washington was the first President of the United States"), they should stand up in their seat and make the other half of the facts known! If they get in trouble for this, see the previous suggestion.
